It is essential for new construction, renovation and property sales. Without this certificate, the installation may be considered to be non-compliant, leading to penalties or refusal of connection to the electricity grid.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Carry out an installation diagnosis<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before starting the procedure, we recommend that you carry out an inspection of your electrical installation. Contact an approved organization<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The certificate of conformity can only be issued by an approved inspection body in Belgium, such as Vin\u00e7otte, OCB, BTV or SGS. Electrical testing<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The inspector checks several essential elements to ensure that the installation complies with the RGIE:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Secure electrical panel with circuit breakers and differential switches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective earthing to avoid the risk of electric shock.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Overload and short-circuit protection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respect safety distances between electrical equipment and water points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Labeling of circuits and correct connection of sockets and lights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Obtaining the certificate of conformity<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the installation complies, the inspection body issues the certificate immediately, or within a few days. This document is valid for 25 years for residential installations, except in the case of major modifications requiring a new inspection. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. What to do in the event of non-compliance?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the inspection reveals any anomalies, a non-conformity report is drawn up, with a list of corrections to be made.
